CamPSF Practical Technique Training
What is being offered?
Training on the techniques used within CamPSF including:
- Phage production and purification
- Quantification of phage titres by qPCR and cell infectivity
- Design and construction of bait antigens that are amenable for phage display selections
- Carrying out phage display selections using manual panning procedures
- Carrying out phage display selections using robotic automatization
- Phage ELISA screening of clones from selection plates
- 96 well plasmid purification protocols
- Medium throughput expression of candidates in mammalian cell bioreactors
- SpyBLI kinetic characterization of selected candidates
Who is this being offered to?
Students (undergraduate, Masters, PhD), research assistants and research associates for groups who are users of the CamPSF facility.
Why is this being offered?
- To improve the quality of scientific teaching within the University of Cambridge
- To expand the ability by which CamPSF can support the research base of the labs that are using the facility
- Training users enables them to better understand the practical techniques enabling them to better design experiments leading to better outcomes for the user
