Available libraries that can be used in the CamPSF
These fall into 3 classes:
Cambody library
A computationally designed native-like nanobody library built in-house at University of Cambridge. Available in a phage display format. (For more information on its design see below)
Three in house libraries focus on different nanobody structural types:
- Extended
- Kinked
Non-canonical disulfide bonded (NCDB)
Ali et al. (2026) Disulphide and sequence-encoded conformational priors guide nanobody structure prediction.BioRXiV https://doi.org/10.64898/2026.02.13.705647
Each library will be comprised of variants with different CDR3 loop lengths
Previously created libraries
- DARPin - Designed Ankyrin Repeat Proteins which are small engineered protein scaffolds (15 kDa). They are stable to physicochemical variations and have a flexible design for multi target formats. DARPin is library from Hollfelder lab [Houlihan et al, (2015) Protein Eng. Des. Sel., 28(9), 269–279 https://doi.org/10.1093/protein/gzv029 ]
- Synthetic ScFv library from the McCafferty lab [Schofield et al., (2007), Genome Biol., 8(11), R254. https://doi.org/10.1186/gb-2007-8-11-r254 ]
User supplied library
If the user has created their own custom phage display libraries that they would like to use then please discuss with us for feasibility of use within our in house pipelines
